Things to Know Before You Go...


What are the dates of the meeting?
The convention starts off with the Pre-Convention Workshops and NP Forum (additional fee applies) on Thursday, March 31, 2016. The official start of the Annual Convention is during the opening of the Exhibit Hall on Friday night at 6:00 pm. 

How should I dress for the convention?
The recommended attire for the convention is business casual.  Please keep in mind that the rooms may be a bit chilly, so be sure to bring a sweater. Also, be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

What if I have dietary restrictions?
Please contact Linda Markham, at lmarkham@dnanurse.org and provide us with additional details on your needs. Please also be sure to indicate you have special dietary needs in the appropriate area when completing your registration.  

Will there be printed handouts of the Speaker slides available onsite?
No, there will not be printed handouts onsite.  Prior to the Convention, the speaker handouts will become available via a distinct link that will be distributed to all registered attendees.  The handouts will be available prior to the convention for you to download and print out. Pre-convention Workshop and NP Forum attendees will receive separate links to print out those particular handouts prior to convention as well.

I just want to attend the exhibits. Is there a fee?
Unfortunately, we do not offer an Exhibit Hall only registration option.  If you have not yet registered for the event, but you wish to visit the Exhibit Hall, please purchase a One Day registration and select the day you plan on visiting the Exhibit Hall.

Will there be CEs awarded for attendance?
The Dermatology Nurses' Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.   Attendees may earn up to 13 contact hours for main convention sessions.

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP5708.  

NP Forum: 
This education activity will be submitted to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for approval of up to 13 contact hours of accredited education. 

The Pre-Convention Education Workshops and the NP Forum will be awarded contact hours separately.  

Contact hours may also be awarded separately for commercially supported educational symposia if available.

CRITERIA FOR COMPLETION: Credit is awarded for each session completed in its entirety. There is no partial credit awarded for any session. Statements of credit will be awarded based on the participant’s attendance and submission of the activity evaluation form for each session. A certificate of completion will be sent to the participant upon completion of the online evaluation process. A course evaluation will be required for each designated segment of the program to qualify for continuing education credits. All participants will receive a continuing education certificate via email upon completion of their online evaluation.  

Do you accept Canadian Credit Card or Currency?
No, we do not.  Only the US Dollar will be accepted.

Is there a Internet Access onsite?
Yes, our Cyber Connect station will feature computers with internet access. Stations are limited to 15 minutes per person.  WIFI is not offered in the meeting space.
